Conference Volunteer Roles
Conference Chair: A Volunteer who acts as the master of ceremony for the conference plenary sessions. He/she welcomes the participants and officially opens and closes the plenary sessions of the conference.
Conference/ Session Presenters: Subject matter experts who share their knowledge on specific themes and/or topics related to the conference. Depending on their field of expertise and background, they are matched to specific events that best suit their qualification. They are in-charge of relating information to the diverse range of schools represented in the AACSB International membership.
Session Moderators: Volunteers who manage the session discussion and ensure enough time is allocated for question and answer between the presenter/speaker and audience.
Conference Advisory Committee: Member volunteers who guide the program development for conferences. They review conference proposals, share topic and speaker ideas, provide recommendations for conference process improvement and offer content suggestions that speak to the latest industry trends.
Volunteer Training Facilitators: Experienced accreditation volunteers who have served or are serving as mentors, peer review team members and/or accreditation committee members. They train potential and active accreditation volunteers on the accreditation processes, visit preparation, visit execution and report writing.
Panelists: Volunteers coming from industry or schools who are knowledgeable about best practices, processes and innovative trends. They can be speakers at seminars or conferences that share their knowledge and key learnings on a face-to-face or digital basis.
