Thought Leaders

Thought leaders are volunteers who offer their professional expertise on a given subject to AACSB-related products or groups.

Advisory Group / Council Member

Volunteers involved in advisory groups or councils are selected based on recommendations from previous council members and AACSB leadership. The main role of the advisory group or council is to review existing processes and goals of specific AACSB functional groups (examples are AASCB Insights, volunteer relations, conferences, etc.) and provide guidance or recommendations on how to best achieve the goals.

Publication Contributors

Volunteers who provide articles, blog posts, video interviews, and written content for AACSB Insights are considered publication contributors.

Video interviews are scheduled in conjunction with AACSB events, usually including the Global Accreditation Conference, Deans Conference, and ICAM. To submit a blog post idea or participate in a video interview, please contact us at editor@aacsb.edu.

Networking Community Leaders

Volunteers who serve as Networking Community leaders commit their time to ensure that their community remains active and serve as the point of contact for AACSB membership staff. They encourage discussions on the AACSB Exchange and host meetings in conjunction with AACSB conferences, both virtually and in-person. Key responsibilities of Networking Community leaders are to  provide session descriptions, agendas, and materials, as well as lead the governance of their community along with a steering committee. To be considered for this role, potential volunteers must already be a member of the specific Networking Community they are looking to lead.

Networking Community Steering Committee Members

Volunteers who serve on a Networking Steering Committee help the community's chair by offering ideas for presentations or discussion topics. They assist with planning the details, arranging guest speakers, and preparing materials for meetings. Members of the steering committee serve for three years and new volunteers will be sought out once there are vacancies. Opportunities to serve on this committee will be posted in the Networking Community's discussion on the AACSB Exchange.
